Hey,
do you have any advice on raising the fry directly in the tank, without taking out the eggs and putting into a box? |

In general, and my observation so far is that the father can be a very good care taker. I have a brood of babies that have been taken care by the dad for the last 2 to 3 weeks and he is still taking care of them. In the same tank, there are other f1 and adults. Seems little disturbance even though the father sometimes venture out.
In another observation, we have the couple doing in the caves with the babies inside. There was once a wriggle with sac and it drop out of the fry box and surrpised that it was alive especially with at least 11 adults inside and some mid swimming tetras. Maybe she is lucky. However I am not so sure how will be the growth rates comparing to fry-box raised fries. Really not sure how the fries that are taken care by the father eat, never really see them coming out. Any bro got any ideas? |
