okies i bought the gush steel mesh inlet from gc, tank infact is ready, but haven on chiller as main stock of shrimps haven put in yet. got 10 more shrimps from another bro just today, now using IV drip to drip water into the tub.
going to drill my partition holes tml. but i got a question now, as i be using 2 layers of acrylic to do it, what would be a good material to *kiap* inbetween the partition? small steel mesh or those super fine media bag netting? if use media bag netting will turn brownish black over time right? |

ok so this is how i made my divider. looks horrible but it works. lol. need to find a larger filter bag so wont look so ugly.
ok, i made a hole for my canister rain bar and for the holes for the water to go thru the acrylic i made 5cm in diameter for the holes. as you can see the pipe is slightly smaller den the hole i made. ): |

this is the media bag i use to cut up to patch the holes, at first wanted to use wire mesh but i dont think it would be easy to patch the holes up in the acrylic sheet. as i be using 2 acrylic board to "kiap" the media bag. simple patch work i did at around 3am in the night. tank before divider. as the method taught by bro eviltrain, i use the normal air tubing slit it open and use it to wrap around the edge of the acrylic board. so that it would have a tight fitting in my tank. top view side view and front view of the divider. |
