Default vannel's Latest Purchase! - Nannoptopoma sp. "Peru"

Hi bros,

Anyone else bought up the recent shipment of Orange Otocinclus? They are not rare.. at most uncommon, but they are quite different from the usual Otocinclus Affinis or Vittatus we commonly see. They are also smaller in size than the Zebra and Tiger Otocinclus variants.

Anyone managed to breed these beauties before? Care to share what's their ideal environment and diet?

Mine have just been introduced to the tank after a whole day of stress in the bag. Both have not been seen actively searching for food yet. Feel like buying another 2 but I worry they are too fragile.

These are available in C328. I believe I saw another 2 left in the small tanks. Also, I think JZX has them in their recent stocklist..

They're certainly uncommon and unique. I've never personally tried keeping them, but from what I've heard, they're hard to keep alive beyond 6 months

Unfortunately 1 of them passed on. Left 1 that I've actually seen eating some tubifex.

Thinking about removing it from the comm tank and placing it in an external breeder box to monitor feeding. They are too slow to react to food thrown into the tank and frequently get bullied away from the food.
