Default Just how big can they grow?

I'm curious about one thing and that is how big can our fancy goldfish grow? Will our ranchus, lionheads, ryukin, etc, grow up to those monster size in those exhibits or would they smaller like around 20cm?

Read that for some breeds, the growth or size is limited by the size of the tank.

There have been news of gold fish released into lake grown to monstrous size in some country.

Honest, back in the early 2000s when I visited a wet market in dong guang, canton, I witnessed a monstrous black moor at about 20cm.

If grow in a 10 tons pond, ryukin can grow to very big. Didn't measure it but not all grow to that size.

Even pearl scale will grow very big in a 10 tons pond. So the size of the tank/ pond will be a big factor and the most important is the gene of the goldfish. And the number of goldfish in a single tank/pond etc do affect the grow rate. IMHO.
