I just went through this thread because I was interested in starting my own planted tank. Starting out with a Current iq5 that I currently have and later move on to a 2ft planted. Considering that this is my first planted tank, I really hope it can be a success. But realistically will most likely fail. I just hope I can learn a lot more about this in the process. Journals like this come in really handy for newbies like me. Together with the other resources available. I hope that you any of you guys can drop me a pm if you are willing to offer advice and help regarding this. And like everyone else, I really enjoy this thread and am looking forward to the updates.
