Every 6 mths or so, the stingers will drop off replace by a new growing one.
Use a net to remove them.

I went through a couple of sites to match these rays. Check until my eyes also blur liao. Maybe you guys have better luck & patience than me.....LoL!
Or maybe it's a trick question or image by TS on a Sunday night.
Still pups nia so simple thing is to say SP lor.

he he he. Only saw pale rays with pale marking..... approximately 5 - 6 inches leh. the female is bigger.

I use a pair of long tongs to remove it frm the tank. Den again, i use the tongs for ANYTHING tat has to be reached at the base of the tank...

And i dun believe u stupid enuff to put ure hand at the tail area w/o keepin ure eyes on the fish's movement.

Can U usually see the broken stinger? What I am afraid is not the stinger that attached in the rays, but the broken stinger that accidentally syphonned off.

I got read up abit on apple rays one hor.
and the one thing tat made me read was the short tail.... tats why apple, coz the shape resembles apple.

Maybe pear ray? Or durian ray?

no need to worry about ur hand in the tank. u can ask satan_gal n Elindra. they SAW me putting my hands IN tanks of RAYS at the farm before. even when im at home sometimes during WC i will put my hand in the tank to disturb my MM. RAYS WONT STING UNNECESSARILY.

after another 1-2 wks after the patterns on the ray brighten up will b easier to tell. we dont make ourselves headache.

wow, too many species liauw.... dont care about what species..... as long they can live longer in my tank.

Bro, you're walking a thin line there. All it takes is 1 time nia........might work for you but not so for others. Just be careful though!
