Not shock! I have kept it for a few months liao! When Pbass starts to breathe heavily seems like its time to go heaven for sure! The other 2 Pbass, another kelberi and an orinoco are doing very fine!

Definately not ph shock if the rest of tankmates are ok. Breathing heavily out of a sudden, might be something got stuck inside the mouth or body after meal (main suspect is the spike from the frozen shrimps if not removed before feeding). Sorry for your loss...

Dun buy those cheap frozen shrimps or MP, likely these product are wif high level of formalin.

The way they (IT, PB or Ray etc.) got up the lolly in a very similar manner, grasping for air at the top and gradually sink to the bottom struggling.

I kept a pair of tiger rays for 14 months from an 8'' to a whoopie 23'' diet on MP only, no problem under my care untill a worker feed the rays with MP he bought...half day nia nia up lolly liao... the way it die is similary to the description above loh...
