wah can start discussion of what products each of us use.... ahhaha

Tank 522
Weekly:
WC 40%
SC Safe 3/4 spoon
and 3/4 spoon bioearth
concurrently i got a 250gm SC purigen in a mini canister cycling (24/7) in sump

filtration sys:
Fuval FX6 to return to Side IOUS (for mech , and CR in trays)
then return to side sump , 5kg SC matrix. abig pack of bio balls, 1x DIY 11w UV (24/7), 2 packs of Active carbon to clear smell 2~3 weeks change.

thats all i use no added chemical my water v clear . once a bit cloudy , thats where my wool in FX6 need to change lor. abt 3 weeks time.

so far my water v clear. good for my aro, tig and ray

anything i will add salt diluted water solution and on heater if there is a need.

water clear doesnt mean good if u added too much additives.

Prior to this never used such products. Just use seachem prime when i do my weekly water change. Filtration should be quite well stocked i guess, 1st compartment in sump is filter wool on top and bacteria house bottom, 2nd and 3rd is mixture of CR and biohome.

Had 5 arowanas in the 6x2x2.5 tank as i wanted try breeding my RTG. Tankmates are 3 sebaraus and some cichlids, and some discus, all are small.

Water actually is not that bad, but I stopped water change for 2 weeks prior to the incident as i did not want to disturb my arowanas because i notice a pair is starting to dance together and making mating sounds.

As i said backside itchy, cos i thought since i am not going to change water for some time, can try to use this product to remove phosphates (which algae feed off).

use SC purigen, instead of binding the bad stuff, absorb them and all contained in
