(First) SP Ray.

Hi guys, just sharing my humble new arrival..
A SP pup to begin my first real attempt at ray keeping.
Thanks to Bro Khoon for letting me have this pc and for his patience explaining

Currently about 5" and trying to wean it onto MP from frozen ghost shrimp..
Occasionally going over chopped MP and meal worms but never eating it completely.
What do you guys advise for weaning a pup onto MP and is it safe to "force" MP to him by starving it?

Nice ray. and nice photo shots.

I manage to feed my newly acquired sp pup taking mp.
What i did is feed the frozen GS and mp (without shell) together, and I guess they just happily finished all....didn't go thru any starving at all.

nice pup .. the pattern will morph to something different as it matures...
i would try to starve it 1-2 days then try mp... but for now, it looks a little skinny, so feed properly first beore trying to starve..

Yeah, i'm just not too sure if i "force" MP onto him, will it be detrimental to him since it's just a pup.
Right now, i'm simply dropping in pcs of MP and hoping he would give in and eat it soon...
The morphing process is something i'm very much looking forward to

Always had a curiosity with rays then one fine day i got too stressed with work and decided to change project.
Sold away some of my fishes to get this pc

I think it's too near the light source so it looks really weird and washed out when i snap some shots.

dun worry too much abt getting it to take MP .. from my experience, these sp rays are easy to convert to MP, but like i say, for now, pump it up first...
ur method is gd, eventually it will give in and start eating the mp. if it start to chew, then it will start to eat very soon ... gd luck!!
