Default My Very First Aro - Golden CrossBack Part 2

Hi AF Bros, updating some photos of Aro, Not some super grade aro, just some sharing 6 months with me so far so good

i first started fish keeping this 2014 Jan, learning thur AF and online, is was fun and nice. luckily did not make any serious mistake.
some of bro that guide/advise me when i needed help, thanks to Bro streetsmart73 and Bro Longyi these 2 provide the most info of fish keeping to me(they might not even know me) . of cos other AF bro did helped me too. thanks AF bros!

currently diet is MP and sometime gut load with pellet.

some bro said mine is stunted aro so
try my best to feed him as much as possible but of cos i cannot feed live feeder or BF or SW.

without tanklight - Iphone flash

With T8 white light

DIY LED LIGHT

is it normal T5 white light make the Aro colour better?, LED seem to make aro colour wash out?

Thanks for viewing and please give me comment or advise.

have a nice day tomorrow. Good night!

Nice xb bro yes ur led looks like its higher in the blue spectrum, making the gold in the aro look not as solid. Maybe you can try adding yellow or warm white kind of led to enhance the gold in your aro just my 2cents

It's ok everybody starts a hobby somewhere.... for young aros just feed them more liberally, keep water good... and it should be fine. As long as you like your aro, it's a nice aro, beauty in the eyes of the beholder Enjoy aro keeping... It's a drug for me can't live without it... for more than 10 years and counting...

Hi Bro, not stunted, just that it seems quite thin.... Frequent, water change may help (For me 20% if I dun put anti chlorine (Me Kiasu), 30% - 50% if I use aged water (Cos I got a 8ft FGT), per week).

Maybe tankmates that compete for food can help too....

Just my 2 cents, cos there are lots of lau jiao in AF

Nice XB. Doesn't seem stunted to me. How old is it vs. how long is it?

If its not very long vis-a-vis its age, then it may be stunted because of conditions prior to your care, but given adequate space, food & good water parameters, there is no reason why it can't continue to lengthen. Besides, it looks like a young fish (1.5 - 2 years old).
