The pH level of the water source at the competition venue ranges between 8 to 8.5. You might wanna condition your competing TVRs to within this level

PRE-COMPETITION PREPARATION

- Basins will be filled with water and sealed with cling-wrap the evening before.

- Oxygen powder will be added into each basin just before commencement of the bench-in.

BENCH-IN PROCEDURES

1. Participants are required to register with the bench-in crew at the counter during bench-in time.

2. Each participant will be issued a return slip indicating the basin number(s) where their ranchu(s) are displayed e.g. J1, T2, N3 & O4. Return slip must be retained for bench-out administration purposes.

3. Non-sequential basin number(s) will be issued to participant who has enrolled more than one ranchu in the same category.

4. The bench-in crew will transfer the competing ranchu from their carrier to their respective basin instantly. In other words, the competing ranchu will not be acclimatized to the water in the basin beforehand. Water from a different source shall not be mixed with the water in the basin.

5. Only the bench-in crew and judges are allowed into the restricted area during bench-in/out and judging.

6. The bench-in crew will ensure all competing ranchu are placed according to their respective category before judging. Measurement will be taken at site, if required.

7. The bench-in crew shall re-categorize any competing ranchu with respect to its size deemed fit. In this case, the participant concerned will be informed accordingly.

BENCH-OUT PROCEDURES

1. Each competing ranchu will be packed in a plastic bag and be placed in their basin prior to the bench-out time.

2. Participants must produce their return slip for verification at the counter during bench-out. This will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

3. After which, the bench-out crew will pick up the plastic bag(s) from their basin(s) according to each return slip.

4. Each participant shall collect all their competing fishes at one go, regardless of their categories.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Hobbyists,

After taking the late competition date into consideration, we realised that most of junior tosai would have exceeded 12cm. In order to keep the junior category competitive, we would like to extend the length to 12.5cm instead.

Do take note of the following changes for these 2 categories:

• Junior (12.5cm & below)
• Tosai (12.6 cm – 14 cm)

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and look forward to more spontaneous participation
