A1: Dark Solid Colour

Regular Competition and Breeder's Division
Entry Fees
$15 per entry for regular classes
$30 per entry for breeder's division

- Rules and regulations to be as per normal with other shows and it will be the main governing set of rules and regulations for all three components of this Betta competition and league.
- Each breeder's division entry shall consist of three specimens, with a minimum of one male and one female in the entry
Results shall be at the discretion of the judges and objections will not be entertained.

Prizes will be as follows
- First, Second and Third placing of every class to be awarded with a trophy.
- Division Champion to be awarded with a trophy, $100 in cash prize.
- Grand Champion to be awarded with a trophy, $300 in cash prize.
*do note that only Divisions A, B and C is eligible for Division and Grand Champion awards

INDIVIDUAL LEAGUE
Second component of this show is the individual league.

- Interested competitors shall pay a fee of $50 per competition to register themselves as participants for the individual league.
- There will be no restriction on the number of fishes a participant can enter.
- Participants will be awarded 50 points for 1st placing, 30 points for 2nd placing and 10 points for 3rd placing. 100 points to be awarded for every division champion placing and 200 points will be awarded to the grand champion fish.
- The participant will also be awarded with 1 point for every fish entered.
- All the points will be tabulated and awards will be given out to the top three placed participants at the end of both each leg and the whole league.

Prizes for the individual league per leg is as stated below
1st: Trophy, Cash Prize $300
2nd: Trophy, Cash Prize $200
3rd: Trophy, Cash Prize $100

Prizes for the individual league after all four legs combined is as stated below
1st: Trophy, Cash Prize $500
2nd: Trophy, Cash Prize $300
3rd: Trophy, Cash Prize $100

TEAM LEAGUE
Team League will be the third component.

- Each team shall consist of a minimum of two participants and a maximum of five participants and each team shall pay an entry fee of $70 per competition to enter for the Team League event.
- Each team shall pick 15 entries from their existing entries in the competition to enter the Team League event.

Each team must have the following entries in these divisions
Halfmoon/Double Tail: Five Entries
Crowntail: Two Entries
Halfmoon Plakat: Five Entries
Other Classes: Three Entries

Teams will be awarded 50 points for 1st placing, 30 points for 2nd placing and 10 point for 3rd placing. 100 points to be awarded for every category champion placing and 200 points will be awarded to the grand champion fish.

All the points will be tabulated and awards will be given out to the top three placed teams at the end of both each leg and the whole league.

Prizes for the team league per leg is as stated
1st: Trophy, 5 x Medals, Cash Prize $200
2nd: Trophy, 5 x Medals
3rd: Trophy, 5 x Medals

Prizes for the team league after all four legs combined is as stated below

In the light of recent events whereby another organisation has decided to align their show with ours, and after a preliminary talk where the other organisation is not willing to change their event schedule, we at Betta Premier League have decided to allow a special concession for those who would like to join both shows, so that the hobby and its stakeholders may benefit from this decision of ours.

All participants who wish to bench out their fishes right after judging can do so. They will need to indicate on their entry forms which are the fishes that they wish to bench out after judging has completed. Timing and details for benching out early will be confirmed later, subjected to the organisers', judges' and CC's approval.

We at Betta Premier League strongly believe in promoting the hobby and bringing it to greater heights, and that we also support other show organisers so that we can keep this small but vibrant community of ours viable for everyone.

Thank you everyone for your support to the hobby and BPL.

Sensibility should prevail.....

There is nothing worst than to have politics in a hobby. Enthusiasts should gain instead of fighting for one's own agenda.

Applaud your move....

Other option is to have a double header in the same venue. Two comps in one location. Two set of judges. Two set of prizes. But one location, one less SU to buy, no need to rush up and down.

Just a thought.

Our side have actually thought of a possibility of a combined show but both sides have promised their respective venue sponsors of a show and it wouldn't be good for anyone to not fulfill what they have promised. Therefore even though other parties don't seem to be willing to change what they have planned, we at BPL think that this is the best solution we can come up with to benefit everyone
