Default What is this???

Can any kind soul help me with this problem? See below picture.. slimy thing form at my glass wall and behind my sump overflow tank. What is this? How to get rid? After scrub.. it come back after few days

should be white worms which is common when water condition is not good.

Can either add salt or use Vermex to eradicate this problem

Try add aeration into sump compartment, this'll promote an aerobic culture that will eradicate methane emission.

There are some in my sump tank wall too.. after vermex treatment need to wash sump tank media?

Haiz....already tell u add aeration in the sump le, Imo, I guess beneath the bloody slime are mainly anaerobic. if u go put salt and medi, knnz will probably screwed the bio filter, sway away the Nh3 will send u fish up lolly de.

Bro haven add any med yet.. shall get an air pump and put in sump compartment

Imo. An advantages of an aerated sump: 1. No methane emission thus no rotten egg odor 2. more air exchange accelerate evaporation and oxidation thus less Nh3 therefore end less No3.

*Nb: The administer of sodium chloride into system (fish tank) will latterly alter the viscosity of liquid in the tank due to slime effect thus render ineffective for the above recommendation.
