Default regarding led lighting

Hi Bros,
/
anyone can tell me the above setup consume more electricity compare to 4ft 3 x t5 bulb? ---- common is 3 x t5 or 2 x t5 ?

i connect my 3 strips led length about 4ft each? i think? - input 200-220v 50hz, output +12v 10A
type of led - bright white (3 small led in 1 square)

i am just wondering is my setup consume more electricity than t5 setup?

depends on total wattage.

LED consumes much lesser electricity when compared FL on equal output.

Do u know how i calaculate the watt? Becos i used to have 2 x t8 but after changing to led. It seem to be high on bill.
I think my led is 5050 300 led.
The watt of per strip must mutiply by 3 right? Becos i got 3 strips?

Are you referring to 5050 60LEDs/m? If yes, it's 14.4W per metre. T8 4Ft is 36W and T5 4FT normal output is 28W.

LED lack the UVa and UVb radiation that comes with T8 tubes. That's why not suitable for tanning. LED lights are for viewing actually.

Just an example.
My original 5 feet lightset has 4 tubes of 80W T5 HO lights.
So total energy needed = 4 X 8 = 320W
Running 10 hours a day = 3200W
Running 1 month = 3200 x 30 = 96,000W

My new Led tube (although less bright) = 36W
Running 10 hours per day = 360W
Running 1 month = 360 x 30 = 10,800W

Assuming current tariff = $0.25 per kWh

Hence old cost per month = 96 x 0.25 = $24.00
new cost ( with led ) = 10.8 x 0.25 = $2.70
Total savings per month = $24.00 - $2.70 = $21.30.
