How to Cut Egg Crate plastic?
Hi all bros,
Need to cut the egg crate plastic divider into a specific dimension. How to cut ah? Buy from lfs they will cut for you? Thanks a lot |

I just use those normal cable cutter. Able to give a clean cut.

I usually use a shear to cut each individual joint then use a metal spatula to clear the remaining protruding parts.
Have seen a LFS owner use a metal ruler to "cut" the egg crate to size |

i beg to diff.
i also using those orange hardware shop cutter . but my method is slight diff from urs if i need to have it at the left edge , i cut more to the right. leaving a tab. then i use a piler grip that tab and twist up down to break the protruding tabs. can give me a cleaner cut and no sharp edges. |

wows, thanks for the input all kind hearted bros. But if I give the odd dimension to the lfs, will they do it for me? looks like quite tedious leh as all 4 sides need to cut leh...

Can try asking the lfs to cut for you, i asked mine to show me how to cut, that's where i found out how to do it. but mine was a straight forward cut to length. if not u can use bro vitor's method.

it is actually quite easy once you get the hang of it.
i usually use the back of a knife to chop on the crate. they normlly just break instantly. |

i try using those sharp plier to cut...after 1 hour hand pain like hell. for the strong man indeed.
