U know my 72 year old mother told me when the time comes she die die will not want any plastic tube to go through her nose down her throat to her stomach just to keep her alive for the amusement of those who are suppose to love her.

I was shocked... needless to say... and I understood and accepted her decision. Holding on is for the living to burden... not the dying. Grace is important to her... and sometimes people tend to forget letting go is a release for both the living and the dying.

Baby condition gone bad to worse.
Got "staring into empty space" look or a zombie cat if I describe it.
Don't want to go outside for walk which she enjoy very much just few days ago.
Once a while, blood will drip out from right nostril. Before that is left nostril where near the tumour is located (it has stopped few days back).

I think she will "Go" maximum 2 weeks.

Time to reconsider original plan again.

Yesterday, I went secretly to look for Vet who can perform the "deed".

Last night, while wife was force feeding her, wife told baby she can go anytime leow. Maybe she has change of heart...... but I know she prefer baby go by itself.
I'm sure if baby can talk, she will opt to "Go".

I understand Putting to Sleep is a painless process. true?

So hard decision to make........

Bro, sad to hear that. It is time to let it go, ur wife is prepared for it.

It is true that it is a painless process. Just a jab and it just 'sleep'.

Have a good talk with her yesterday afternoon.
Wife still said no injection.
If she allow it, I would bring her to the Vet last night.

Well, guess I should give up the idea liao.

to end her suffering, putting her to sleep is not unreasonable. of course, everyone will prefer natural but sometimes it cannot happen. have a good talk with your wife. I did not put my dog to sleep but he was old aged and I just talked to him nicely and tell him he has been wonderful for me as a pet dog and I don't want to see him suffering like this. If want to go, then go. I will always remember him. that night he left peacefully. His ashes is still with me.

My wife talked to Baby many times.
Tell her it is alright, she can leave us anytime.

Last Sunday, I purposely brought her outside for a bit of sunshine.
When I called her name, she gave me a weak "meow".
I thought is my mind playing trick and call again. She "meow" again.
I heard liao very kam tong. That moment, I feel glad I never put her to sleep.
She never give any response for a long long time.
Is she getting better? Or telling me bye bye?

Let her outside the gate, she walked around 30 meters and hide inside a hole(people discard unwanted wooden structure). When she was well, she never dare to walk even 2 meters outside the gate.
Saw from Animal channels on TV, lions or tiger when they get very sick, they will leave their group. Go to a quiet area and die.

If you feel your pet will go anytime, maybe just let her go when her time is up, rather than bring it up to your wife again, as that's quite difficult on her and this matter may just haunt her for a long time.

That's what they say about dogs too. Not sure if it applies to cats. In that case, you may want to keep her inside in case she just disappear, and leaving everyone very troubled by her disappearance and kept wondering if she's ok or not.
