Mr Lim, must factor in the safety issue on your floor loading capacity ( Safety First.. ) but anyway a very good idea and nice FGT u had in mind.

Understand that HDB loading is about 1500kg per sq feet. I might be wrong better check.
But balcony floor loading might be lesser cos there is no support below. Unless u place near the main beam of the building. Anyway the fgt would be my first choice for you since u keeping ray. Anyway play safe and no worry later |

Black/white= extreme colors tat might affect the change in fish base color. Normally...hobbyist go for white to groom rays. For photo taking...black is the best. U can opt for different colors in your fgt as the color is painted up. Black base/ white sides or vice versa. As for the debris tat may be trapped below...u can use styrofoam (thick ones) to raise the fgt up...at the same time block out any seams btwn the floor. Btw, pls ensure there wouldn't be any laundry hanging rite above the tank. |

Big project bro.
Fgt is the best liao looking at yr fishes. Tank will be very costly plus weight will add up much more. |

if you follow HDB guidline, I think they only allow a 4ft fish tank... someone got 5ft or 6ft approved but lot of term and condition like placement of tank etc etc..
anyway.. ensure the place you place the tank or fgt got strong support like the main buildng wall or beam.. not those wall in btw rooms (they are not strong) |
