Hi bro,
It had to see what type of shrimp you are going to keep. Some of the shrimps do not really need a chiller. So it do depend on you. |

I suggest you don't get a chiller first, since the chiller alone can cost more than your entire initial setup (x4) , especially if u are using a nano setup. Get cherries first, with a tank that is "chiller friendly", i.e. you can install a chiller later when you are ready to start keeping CRS. Once ur ok with cherries then chiller won't be a bad idea. 100 bucks should get you through, really really easily. |

Bro, just to share my budget setup proposal.
Tank 1.5ft - $10~15 or less Black quartz sand - $3~5 Air pump / Hang on filter - $8~10 LED Lightings - $26~28 Cherries / Sakuras - Est $10~18 for 10pcs. Java / Christmas Moss - $3~10 About $70~80. Happy starting and welcome to the club~ But as time pass it's very poisoning, you will upgrade and buy more~ Hehe~ |

ya.. chiller is expensive.. 100 for a 2nd hand chiller its quite hard to get depend on which chiller u need.. Cherry is alright without chiller.. but if you scare whether the water is too hot for them.. u may add a fan to cool the water.. at least can help to cool around 2-3degree lower.. |
