you got 9 GF, even if you add the money plant, your nitrates will still be high so dun worry....there's enough fertilizer for all your plants......

I am now keeping the rest of the duckweeds in my planted tank,so be able to grow fast as my riccia is growing at quite a fast rate in the tank.you mean using my goldfish water to change water for the tank with duckweeds, will the high nitrate cause any problem for the ret of my plants in the tank???

The by-products of your GF's bio-load is fertilizer to plants. So dun worry.

Went to Nature to buy $1 worth of duckweeds just now. That's about one square foot area worth.

I'm surprised by a few things. Although I've read that each duckweed has one strain of root that is about 1 inch long, I didn't expect that, collectively, they looked like fine green fur from the side-view. Awesome!

My GF don't seem to be eating them. They suck in a mouth-full and then puke them out as quickly. I hope overtime they will eat them.

Another surpise is how duckweeds has blocked the aquarium light. Areas underneath the duckweeds are now dimmly lit. I'll have to move some plants to brighter spots.

Overall I like duckweeds for it brings a different look to my tank, and my GF seems to enjoy playing with them.
