Thats why I chose this KHK . The pattern is different from the classic 2/3 step and I think it will look quite imposing once it grows bigger. For the sanke, I am hoping that the sumi comes out in the right places to make the pattern attractive . Only time will tell

No problem, you can PM/SMS me or you can PM bro Nutx to make arrangement. Like he posted, he likely to be there at 1pm+ on 3rd day of CNY.

You are right, your Kohaku got unique pattern. Just like my Maruyama Kohaku from NKF, it also got a unique pattern.

As for your Sanke, nice three 3 step pattern waiting the for the sumi to surface to complete the pattern.

For those still interested, I personally feel that there is a a few Showas, Kohakus and plenty of Sanke that are worth looking at in this batch of kois. In an earlier batch (mainly Kohaku), there might be a few gems. Like what I say earlier and believed, sometimes it is worth re-visiting old stock as some of the remaining kois may become better.

the Sanke #09 Sanke

The shiroji is very white! THe beni patch may not be wide enough to cover the body well when the fish grow big, but there are sumi at the edge of the beni which when surface will be able to compliment the overall pattern as a big size fish.

The risk is on the second patch of Hi, where if the sumi surface up on the beni itself on both side, the overall pattern of the fish will go through a Drastic change. If the sumi is big enough to cover the whole beni, it will definitely look imposing in show....but if the sumi remain small patch and within the beni, then the overall impression will be affected.
My personal preference would be for the right side submerge sumi to recede....

the Gosanke #10 kohaku

A very good beni koi. It's a 2 steps, but the pattern looks like a continunation of an inazuma pattern. A Big fish pattern.
The Kiwa are sharp and sashi is clean for a tosai.

The body structure looks strong also.

For those interested in this growth out event, please do go down to Diamond and pick your fish by this weekend. After this weekend, we will be just focusing on the grooming and development of those participating kois.

Having said the above, we still welcome non-participants to join us regularly at Diamond for chit chat and etc.

Cheers!!!
