All are superb kois. The second sanke has nice pattern and colours, the shusui got the mass and the kohaku dunno how to describe.

Btw is the first piece a showa or a sanke? It feel like a showa to me.

It's a Sanke..
look at the sumi, it's in patches form, not like Showa, which is a body base colour.
It's from Migita, mother a Momotaro sanke, and father a sakai sanke.

Nutx,you have very nice kois,ours cant compare to you la.However i can see you also have quite skinny ones and are they males as well esp the sanke 2,sorry still a newbie so asking lots of questions.

The Sanke 2 is a Female.
but bec is it from the momotaro, some of the bloodline is bodyshape-less when young. It looks like a male body. This is one of the reason some hobbyist dun like momotaro fish. But many of their fish can grow real big.

The kohaku is also a momotaro fish, but i guess they have improve the bloodline last year in term of body shape for kohaku, and "remove" the pop eye trade mark.

So its a female in male's body.So if we want to get MOMO's kois we got to be very selective if not we have to wait quite long b4 the fishes mature and look like female..

If u look at this kohaku, u will see the longish body and pop eye!
btw, both kohaku are from momo.
