Default My Yellow Koi

Dear all,

Dont know why, but probably I am too focused on my gosanke collection that it seems I completely forgotten this lady which I added last year!

She's the "shining jewel" of my collection.
My Izumiya Yamabuki of 2 1/2 years, 65cm now with lotsa shine!

I thought of sharing her beauty to let her know I haven't forgotten her!

Do add a yamabuki to your pond if you chance upon 1

Very nice Yamabuki! Clean head, nice body with neat and balance scales. Should be able to grow bigger in time to come.

Yes bro Wilgan, I agree with you that choice of Yamabuki should pay attention to the cleaniness of its head and scalation. Frankly, This koi's scalation isnt all perfect.. but still good enough for me :P When I chose this koi, she was smaller built compared to her sakai cousins.. but I thought now she is beginning to bulk into a beauty

I learnt from my mentor that Izumiya Yamabukis tend to turn from light yellow (tosai) to golden yellow as they grow.. see it with my eyes now

Very nice yamabuki koi you got there.

I believe a lot of us are still learning and dun really have very nice koi to showcase. There was a time earlier when Bro Terence, sgbetta and a few others are into them, but seem like they suddenly disappear as fast as they appear. Bro winklehock is still actively updating his share in his koi pond building. I wonder where they are now...

You have seen my Kois at NKF?
