can drive a hole in the outpipe, such that should pump fail, u will be able to cater to the backflow. hole will introduce air into the pipe, to "break" the flow when your pump fail

Like I said, that was a sample pic I got from the internet to help illustrate. What joeyttk2001 said, drill a small hole in the return. If power dies it will break the siphon. the sump I'm using is 30g and 55g. I tested it out and the 30g is big enough to hold water until the teeth of the overflow is above water.

17"+ long and 10" tall. Just got him and just wait till you see him colored up. Just like Gold!
