2x150W mh for 5ft

is 2x150W for 5ft enough? tank is 5x2x2 mainly lps and softies only..
no SPS..

Enough but it's damn hot that your water evaporates faster unless you got a chiller. But then your utilities bill also goes up proportionately because your chiller is kicking in every on and then to maintain the "set" temperature.

IMHO, T5 lighting can do the job efficiently too ..

I feel that T5 don produce so much heat than those FL (T8) or PL so i think T5 Still the best.

Yes... I agreed...but I think partly also due to the E-Ballast..now my canopy- top is not as hot....after 8 hrs of running...(I am using those Jebo Tank/cabinet type).

if for life no sps go for T5
if u may chance have sps or serious about this hobby - MH is to way to go

IMO, if u like clams n intend 2 keep them, keep ur 2x150W. i believe even 4 clams, 2x150W is slightly on the low side 4 ur tk. sometimes in tis hobby, u really got 2 cast aside the thoughts of having 2 pay more 4 ur electricity bill.

i have 2x150W now working already,just that im told that i need 2x250W not prepared topay for so much very broke already.. and no $ for chiller

was thinking of lifting it up my 2x150w but worry the intensity is not enough.

u shd juz continue using ur MH. it's anyway better than T5s. wif tat type of LS u gonna keep, i believe it's sufficient.

i'll need to lift them up lor.. the mh only able to cover 4ft and not 5ft unless i lift them higher..
