Choosing a nice ray ( to ones own liking/comfort) is what i hope each and every hobbyist would instill in their mindset. As there is no limit to the sky or space, you will feel that there are still nicer piece around after you got yours.

Unless you can afford to buy the best of the best at all cost, sometimes we human are just never satisfied.

There are Designer Rays out there ( in Thailand or China) that are nicer and pricer than normal BD or high quality p13, so does it mean you will not commit at its price when its not pure BD? But somehow others do..

Simon

exactly lo, there are some trans in thailand which is more powerful than a lady

The lady who is standing opposite you is always prettier. Ops i meant , the grass on the other side is always greener. Take a step back, look at what you have and appreciate them. appreciate the ray itself rather than the grade and fish keeping comes to a whole new level.

(in the case if you do not appreciate them, my doors are always open to adopt them)

I realise this fad about good ray must have short tail, do-re-mi spots, diamond eyes, belly spotting and good Arowana must have YTL, cross belly, no PLJ, no DE, FFL is just a Singaporean thing.

If you spend enough time on those angmoh fish forums, you realise that every other ray and arowana specimen that we Singaporeans take advantage of is valuable to them. On their end, every fish is stunning and has its' worth and value, even the humble Motoro and Silver Arowana.

I think we've become very fixated on digits, value and social acceptance that we forget the true meaning of a hobby - to relax and enjoy.

I think the difference is mainly in perspective of the person admiring the fish. Their are subtle differences but the main thing is just how you label the fish-bd/leo or just leo.
