Here are pictures when I first see it
I still find it handsome aro (i think is male)

Wrong to tag it as CROSSBACK, but at RM300+ this is more like a RTG/HBRTG...

The mis-labeling aside, the aro was sold in shop without cert and probably no chip.

Our neighbour north, despite being a CITES member country, the enforcement of CITES rules and regulations not as strict as Singapore.

Agree with you there Bro. Lots of people selling Aros without cert here. Sell like nobody's business somemore. Post pic, claim XB, bla bla.. when you ask got cert or not, they say no need cert. But then say under CITES...
It is not a good practice..

Bingo, the crux of the matter : loose enforcement.

Novice buyers are at risk.

Hearsay it's not an uncommon practice in our neighbourhood countries that breeders will ask if you want the fish to be tagged with extra cost. I bet many bought their fishes based on farm/breeder's reputation of producing quality fishes. Tag with cert is not the primary concern just like many veterans always advice: see fish dun see cert

In fact the prevalent of tkl in Singapore many years ago already told we are no difference from our neighbours so dun keep thinking we are so tok-gong
