I tried few times. Personally feel the quality is inconsistent. Their mee rebus used to be good too. As for nasi lemak, those stalls in hawker centre are better.

Mee Rebus wise, I used to love the ones in Blk 58 New Upp Changi Road (opp Bedok stadium) market. Not sure if the stall is still there. Changi V nasi lemak, not my cuppa tea. I find it really over rated. Lost where to get good nasi lemak now, since Adam Road's famous stall standard has dropped since his son took over. Boon Lay ppl says standard dropped too (and i don't like the long queue). |

There is one located at the woodlands hawker centre. Their chendol is good.....actually all of their desserts are really good and lot of varieties too. Not expensive too.

Back in the 90s, all you need is sambal with the lemak rice! Nothing else needed. It WAS that good then. After they start to franchise (or setup branches), it's pathetic. I tried it once few years ago, along Tanjong Katong... after that, i wonder why is there a queue? Maybe ppl loves queuing, or after queuing for some time, even if it is crap, it still taste good (like Changi... worse nasi lemak ever... i won't even want to spend a cent on it). |

Punggol NL is real rice but to me it is like what plastic rice will taste like if anyone ever wants to know how plastic rice can taste like.

Indeed lo.... u go durian stall u can see many liao.....
Just recently in Geylang.... Changnee as Mao Mao Wang, Wang Zhong Wang... this Singaporean guy with 3 HK women friends... talk like he so expert, tell the HK women this is MSW, WZW.... when seller only has Changnee and Pamani (not even Gang Hai). One of the seller wanna sell me Pamani as Red Prawn... i looked at him, Pamani and Chengnee right... he silently admit. The Changnee I had that day was not too bad, better than Pamani Last edited by globalcookie; 02-06-2017 at 06:18 PM. |
