I totally agree, it work same like your home air-con, normally they will encourge getting bigger to cool down faster so the compressor wont suffer from overwork and shorten lifespan.

I understand that NA is selling various Resun chillers at the following price:

CL200 :-$280
CL280 :-$280
CL450 :-$380
CL650 :-$390

As notice, the price of various chillers dun differ a lot. Would it be a good idea to go for the biggest possible just because it is reasonably "cheaper" for a 2 feet tank, or I should just choose one that is "suitable" based on flowrate.

go for the CL450. more chilling power, less kickin. save $ in the long run.
fyi, i'm using it for my 24gallon tank set at 23C driven by a 1100l/hr pump.

I heard that for budget chillers like Resun. The coolannt cannot be change. if used for 3 to 5 years. Can get ready to change to a new chiller liao.
Unlike those foreign brands where parts can be replaced and such.
Not sure what other china brands can get coolant to be refilled or replaced.

Which chiller would be recommended for my 3 ft tank - 36 x 20 x 20 inches -
Running on a 1000 L/H pump ?

Those who don't on your chillers 24/7, when do you all normally on your chillers ?
