My aro don't have this problem, but other type of fish sometime have this, on the fins, white nodules. I am not sure similar to aro and one of the reasons I hear is triggered by temp fluctuation, e.g. cold night when water temp goes low, parasitic. Not sure how cold is your weather. Some use heater to control this as to maintain constant temp throughout. Once get it quite difficult to cure, keep water clean, up temp and add some parasite medication.

Imo looks to be lymphocystis..
It's a form of viral infection (iridoviruse) common in many fish. Usually caused by low immune system and resistant , mainly from poor water quality. It's infectious depending on environmental factors. Stress can also trigger. Basically nothing much u can do, maintaining excellent water quality is your key. It's not a parasite so don't keep using medication to treat, resulting in wasted $ n further deterioration of water.. Wish u luck.. |
