Algae free Ray tank

Hi guys. Im keeping a BDsp ray. Along with some other fishes. What do you guys use to keep your tank free from algae tt grows on the tank walls since plecos aren't advisable with a ray.?

Practice good housekeeping.....by using a sponge and wipe the glass/wall monthly.....it's the cleanest and most effective.

So even a UV doesn't help? I don't like reaching into my tank unless i really really need to lol. Need chair/ladder to boost me up.

IMO.....A UV will remove (destroy) any algae that's free-floating in the water column, e.g. an algae bloom, but not algae that's attached to glass, hardscape, plants, etc.
If you have green dust algae, wipe it off the glass, and get it into the water column, so the UV can deal with it.

i think just get those normal or albino sucker fishes are best , dont get too big ones.. just buy 1 and throw him and see for few days , so far for me none of my sucker fishes ever disturb my rays.

Yes suckers do clean some but if you feel your hand over the glass, there is still a fine layer which stays on...that's is if you don't mind. Hence, good monthly housekeeping is best if you want nice clean see-thru glass.

There's a brand called "Elbow Grease". Very effective.

I am using a soya base enzyme EM2 & EM3 invested by the Jap which is a plant growth promoter to stop algae fr growing. It rid off green water, kill present algae in pond and prevent them fr growing.

Only setback is one need to keep adding every WC to be effective. Safe for rays.....
