It sounds like you might have air trapped in the canister. Did it just happen recently after running for awhile? Isit constant bubbling?

If inlet is not taking in air. The rubber seal that seals the pump head section with the canister body might need to be replaced.

Just my 2cts, hold on to the whole Cannister and shake it, I use to have this problem, shake the whole Cannister for about 5 seconds, this will force the Air trap to raise up to the surface thus flowing out through the Out Flow.

Brings to mind that when water flows through a "holy" pipe, it brings the air with it out. Could it be the pipe has leaks but water flows too fast and hence do not splurt out from the hole/s?

It happens to me especially the lower tank canister. Due to the lack of gravity "help". It helps when I change to a much shorter input n output eheim rubber tubes. Another important note to prevent bubbles at outlet pipe is ur media tray make sure not overload till ur blue n white pad of each trays couldn't sit nicely.
