Where is your new pond?
Mud pond or concrete pond?
Source of water?

its a concrete pond with stones at the bottom, nearest source of water is a tap via hose.

Mine was a mud pond base with concrete walls.
Water was from a well.
All i did was drain off all the water, flush the mud with water.
add new water.
Wait one week for the sediments to settle.
Then intro fish.

Since u mention yours source is only the tap water...u need to make sure it is chloromaine free.
Add a filter if you wan and cycle the filter.
Add some feeder fish to test the water.
Measure the ph to make sure it is suitable for your fish.
New concrete will push the ph up
