an alternative way might be to change your fish tank's location and place it next to the window. And let the sun do the job... I have got pretty nice green water this way. will take a pic tomorrow and upload it.

I read from the site. The standard of green water is that you must be able to see the fish and both of tug. If the water is too green until you cannot see the fish then be careful you fish fin may get defect. It just like human stay too long under hot sun and get skin burn.
