We need a good midfield playmaker.
Our wingbacks have hard time running up and down the flank and not much support from strong midfield general. SM did good in the match in both defence and attack but still we are missing an attacking midfielder. Will OS ever try the new academy lads. The names Gomes, Garner, Chong be called in to flash their skills. Lets see who else will he add on to 1st team or still sticking onto the likes of Matic and Lingard. |

Ole has been playing with 4-2-3-1 formation. This formation is not the traditional 442 or 433. Perhaps the 4-2-3-1 formation confuses players and they are not able to perform as the intended roles.

Listening to Ole's post match interview after the game, he still maintained that the team is playing well and moving in the right direction. If after 4 games the team is already 7 points behind the top team, and in 8th position doubt any fans would agree with his assessments.
Yes it is only the 4th game, but he should realise that all is not well and if Ole contd like this honestly believe he would not last long as the manager. |

so much for the pace of this team, yet we do not finished off games.
Worst is when Lingard have the ball, he elected to shoot instead of passing to Greenwood at the extreme right side. Shows that the team is still not a team, but a set of individuals. Worst performer is PP, I think he lost the ball too much while trying to dribble and perform his tricks. And after being robbed of the ball numerous times, he still pretends that he was infringed by the opponent by choosing to stay on the ground and waving his hands about, instead of getting up and tracking back. Young is still hopeless, the number of crosses and free kicks he taken and put into the box, all never seek the correct heads. Good that the international games is coming up and we have time to reassess the situation. Still early in the season, but we need to address the problems sooner than later. |

PP losing the ball is the norm now, not sure why though. Young will not jot be a starter if shaw is fit. The intl break hopefully allow Ole and his team to come up with a short term plan to address this hiccup before we fall into a crisis. |

Midfield is really weak, when Matic came in, I see the ball passed sideways instead of front. Rashford somehow I think lost his confidence after that penalty miss. |

James did very well on the left wing a la Giggs in his hey days, would like to see him retain this position when Martial comes back from injury and just let Rashford flank out on the right and let the 3 interchange with Mata in the no 10 role, I just feel with Mata making those clever runs and short passes our front 4 seems to play much better with him orchestrating the attacks. We need his guile and experience to pick these stubborn defenses.

After international break follow by match against 3rd placing Leicester.
Hope we are more organise and back on winning track again. About 4 more months before next transfer window opens. Make or break can we move to more comfortable top4 position. |
