Out of the 4 Thai SEALs one of them is a medical doctor. Together with an Australian medical doctor. Both doctors were trained in diving with the Australian doctor specialised in cave diving, & the Thai doctor Navy trained (on TV can see his uniform got many badges including airborne wings) Next dry season I guess many tour operators will be selling trips there. I guess, after this big rescue, the awareness of cave rescue diving would gain a lot of traction. Perhaps, there may be more leisure divers who may enquire about cave diving specialty (not cave rescue).
I recall checking 1 dive destination with cave diving. 1 of the recommended requirement is cave diving specialty. I didn't go... no guts. There are usually muddy sentiments at the bottom that will be stirred up easily, which will cause water to turn murky. |
