For street price, Nikon 105mm without VR is around S$1005 and with VR is around S$1280.

I owned Tamron 90mm and bought it @ S$560. A lot of ppl don't like the extended barrel although it help to protect your front element glass, and motor AF sound is terrible. For macro shots, normally I just adjust to 1:1 and focus manually most of the time so I don't bother about these. But the sharpness of the lens is really incredible. If you has extra money, I still encourage you to buy Nikon macro lens.

I'm impressed wif the pics talen....fantastic...wished i could take such good pics for my aro...but...onli got a miserable digital cam....

Nah, you can't say that as most of my pic in my gallery are taken by a 5.0megapixel cam. But i think they look still good

As they always say, it's the person that counts not the cam

Can't totally agree with that, you should ask for pointers via the experts in Fish Photography like slooow, bracun, texas,cwtan etc...They are more experience
