My short comment is: the paternity leave thing is a good start. In my view, while we can still debate if its length is enough or not, it is long overdue.

As for the various monetary incentives, it does not solve the root of the problem. What is important is reforms in the Singapore PAP government to genuinely increase the wealth of all ordinary Singaporeans so that we don't even have to depend on handouts or monetary incentives from the government in the first place!


The Singapore PAP government has failed to truly improve the lives (financially at least) of ordinary Singaporeans and instead has to use superficial ways to patch up the problem through use of monetary incentives/subsidies which do not really solve the root of the problem.
