Default newbie with 2ft lowtech setup

hi guys,
my first try at planted tank.
all comments good or bad welcome.
wish to learn from the gurus here and improve....

but i think the 1 on the left is non-aquatic.

Left side plant is non-aquatic... Will start to break up eventually.

Good start! Like what the bros above has said, that fern is non-aquatic... I bought it during my first attempt on aquascaping too.

hmmm....thanks guys! sorry for being a noob...
after it breaks up, i will replace with some java fern...

saw hair algae about 2 days ago....bought 6 pcs of yamato shrimps and now the algae are gone! amazing.....

could see the short grass (sorry i dunno whats the correct name) growing and creeping across the substrate now....hehehe

I feel using glosso is a better choice than those short short grass
