Just go LFS buy a box of crickets I spread feel can feed 5 days leh.

You can find them in grasses, usually tall grasses with little human interference have the most grasshoppers.

As for catching, this 'job' i would say, is a very tiring and time consuming process. Only for those who have free time and enjoys catching.

I used to catch them using hands, 1 by 1..but now have since changed to using net. I find that using net would catch more, but would also catch unwanted insects such as spiders/ ants.

You can sometime find bird shop selling grasshoppers places like in Serangoon North Ave 1 there are 5 shop there.

The $2 one? I don't think enough for 1 weeks leh...seeing how much they eat a day. Think i still catch grasshoppers, not so noisy also

Hey bro, if you are scared of the noise you can buy black crickets. There are two types of crickets sold at LFS, black and brown. The black ones are normally sold while they are immature (cos they are huge when adult) hence they cant make noise since they havent grow wings. For me, i normally buy 2 boxes, each box $2 can last one week.

Hmm...seems like the LFS i frequent only sells the brown ones, have yet to see those black ones.

Today went to catch grasshoppers again but a surprise came by....
A passerby spotted a baby bird which was unable to fly but he had no time to keep it....so took it back to nurse it back to health.
Started to eat grasshoppers and drank water already.
Anyone can identify the species?
