Default Java Fern and Tiger Lotus

Problem : Java fern leaves turning black, Tiger lotus slow growth.

Lighting : EVO LED
Fert: Weekly iron root tab and Seachem Flourish
Tank 5 x 2.5 x 2, no co2

I wondering is it LED lighting not strong enough, any suggestions

IMO light is not strong enough to penetrate through.

Change to T5 6500k will do. I still don't have faith in using led for planting

Imo i dont think is lighting problem, java fern grow well in low light. Maybe you should look into other factors, maybe temperature?

I tested the water
ph 6
Kh1
GH 2

Water too soft Java and Japonica don't do well?don't understand why the Java and abubias turning black.
I think my tank a bit too deep for led lighting (former aro tank convert to planted). Maybe I should switch to t5

Sorry but i beg to differ, imo nana and java ferns can whistand highest temp of aquatic plants already ( excluding floaters ofcourse), anything below 32°C should be fine. Cheers
