Default Maintaining salt in arowana comm

Who here is maintaining salt level in arowana comm tank? I have been occasionally adding salt to
My tanks before , specially during rainy season, i added salt at 1 tablespoon per 10 gallon and sometimes
Brought Up concentration to 1 tablespoon per 5 gal, btw what is the % concentration of 1 tablespoon per 10 gal and 1 tablespoon
Per 5 gal?
Since moving my comm to the pond i just dumped salt into pond but have lost count on the concentration. What would be the ideal concentration for arowana pond?

I think one tablespoon should be approx. 5g. If you mix that with 10 gal (38L) of water, that gives you approx. 0.13g/L or 0.013%. If you do 1 tablespoon per 5 gal, the salinity is simply half of the previous.
Under normal circumstances, keep the salinity below 0.1%. Otherwise, the common aquatic parasites and bacterias would develop immunity against salt treatment in the long run, and that would be bad.

Hope this helps.

Not necessary to add salt as maintenance.

From what I read its 1g/L which is 0.1%

I use 2.5g/20L or not at all.

for me i only add salt when their not feeling well or if i see any change in behavior - Eg , fast swimming , or staying near top , breathing abit hard etc.

besides that i think just maintain good water parameters and should be ok
