Maintaining salt in arowana comm
Who here is maintaining salt level in arowana comm tank? I have been occasionally adding salt to
My tanks before , specially during rainy season, i added salt at 1 tablespoon per 10 gallon and sometimes Brought Up concentration to 1 tablespoon per 5 gal, btw what is the % concentration of 1 tablespoon per 10 gal and 1 tablespoon Per 5 gal? Since moving my comm to the pond i just dumped salt into pond but have lost count on the concentration. What would be the ideal concentration for arowana pond? |

Under normal circumstances, keep the salinity below 0.1%. Otherwise, the common aquatic parasites and bacterias would develop immunity against salt treatment in the long run, and that would be bad. Hope this helps. |

From what I read its 1g/L which is 0.1%
I use 2.5g/20L or not at all. |

for me i only add salt when their not feeling well or if i see any change in behavior - Eg , fast swimming , or staying near top , breathing abit hard etc.
besides that i think just maintain good water parameters and should be ok |
