Klopp explains Henderson decision
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has explained why captain Jordan Henderson has not made today’s starting line-up. He says: “We need Hendo so much and I don’t think it makes sense in the moment to play him day in, day out, that’s the thing.” |

Firmino has the ball in the Tottenham net but his effort is disallowed - because Mane is offside.

Offside debate
Difference of opinion here over whether that Liverpool goal was offside. There’s no doubt Firmino is onside when he touches the ball in, and there’s no doubt Mane didn’t touch it despite always being in an offside position. But does he interfere with Vorm’s line of sight? And is it offside because Mane motioned towards the ball? So many variables. |

Firmino excellent so far. So intelligent with the way he drops off to link play. No wonder Klopp refers to him as ‘the engine’ of this team.

Keita not really in it at the moment but there are several players on both sides who haven’t quite got going.

Liverpool will hope their period of dominance hasn’t been and gone. Getting a little sloppier and Spurs coming back into the contest.

That was a really clever header from Wijnaldum. The loop on it was perfect. On the balance of play Liverpool deserve that. Great timing too just before the break.
