IMHO. I feel that the decline of people in AF has got nothing to do with buy/sell.
There are similar forums with buy/sell open, but the activity level is still very low. Forums are no longer in trend due to other uprising social media platforms like Facebook. It’s like ICQ, mIRC, msn messenger slowly fading out. The user interface of forums are not as simple and convenient. Example: Sharing a link or picture requires a little more effort instead of just one click of a button. Younger generations of hobbyists are trending towards an intergrated app platform. So the post that they make are also made known to other people whom are non members in the particular group. |

Buy Sell is open to threads without mods.
Caveat emptor. Let the shows begin. Popcorn with coke is ready.

Why do ppl join forums? There's so much stuff on google these days.
Why did most of the previously very active ppl stop coming in? I honestly doubt it's the buy/sell. |

In fact, younger generations are even moving away from facebook into twitter, instagram, snapchat ...... What we see now on Facebook are mainly traders, people with something to sell and aunties posting about cakes they made, their children etc imho, there is nothing wrong with forums, just that it is a thing of the past so what we see now are mainly friends, or at least acquaintances who almost all know each other ....... or at least know someone who knows that someone |

What I miss about forums are the sharing of people’s setup. Those who take the time to take pictures and share their setup or livestock. And others who chime in and share even more information.
Esp the wild discus setup, altums etc. I am in various facebook groups but even there, its just not as ‘informative’ as it used to be. Well, go with the times i guess |
