ATTN TO ALL USERS OF ORP/PH CONTROLLER,

I have received numerous calls from reefers regarding the ORP readings, ie very low value of 120 - 160 when they initially start the unit. Please note that the probe requires some time to stabilize , as such I would suggest you guyzs to do as follows;

1) Let the probe be immersed in the water for a few days and leave the unit on , observe the value after a few days. ( Pls update me via pm , thks.)

2) In the meantime , do not operate your ozonizer as yet as it will be operating based on a inaccurate ORP value , due to the probe stabilizing in.

Please do not hesistate to contact me shld u have further enquiries. Thank you.

Also , I believe that there is nothing wrong with the units like some have put it, to confirm this , I tested with a newly bought ORP probe tis afternoon and tested a seasoned Milwaukee ORP probe

1) Broadly James Coporation USA ORP Electrode = Immediate reading = 103
mV

2) Seasoned Milwaukee ORP Electrode = 399 - 400mV

3) Tested with my 2 days China ORP electrode = 334mV

so moral of story is u muz stabilize Electrode first.

Should the probe be in the sump or main tank?

Hi guys,

I was about to doing a review and found that Sherman has done his..
so, I should hijacck your thread, sherman (don mind hor.)

Okay.. The setup and installation procedure have been covered by Sherman.
Here are some of the statistics:

I have conduct a test with both Milwaukee ORP and PH-203 ORP controller

Here are the finding:
after 3 days into water

Milwaukee/PH-203
391 / 391 with Milwaukee's probe
228 / 228 with PH-203's probe

So, what is this figures tell?? Well, the main unit(body) is acurrately reflect the reading correctly ...cheers!!!
But the Redox from PH-203(probe) is kind of slow in picking up the reading correct....(when I start 3-days ago, my reading was 134). after three day is 222-229.

So, my recommendation to all guys who have set their ORP to 350 or 400 using the original PH-203 probe to reset your setting to 225 (which is around 380 in Milwaukee's probe). until your probe is settle down.

PS: this is also a good test to simulate a "auto-stop" when it hit the pre-define value.

Good. means your ORP probe is calibrating to your water level.
