let me explain my scenario. I have 2 x 3ft Dymax NO-T5 (w/Dymax Light tube B/W type) light holder and 1 x 3ft 30W Light Holder (w/Coralife T8 Actinic & 10K). Due to limited space. my 3ft tank only drive by 2x T8(60W)-B/W and 2x T5-NO(60W)-W/W. I am thinking of either modify or try using Aquaz-T5-HO with the spare Dymax T5 Light Holder that I have. As what Monsterz1975 has mentioned that the Cheapo Ballast is rather small so the conventional ballast (Elbiru typo ) will not able to fit in so I am leave with two option: (1) make the ballast external, mount under my wooden board under my tank (but I am not sure the wire after ballast can have length of 1 metre?? any advise??) or (2) Just replace the T5-NO with Aquaz T5-HO ike that LFS ..being using it for 3mth My persoanl preference will be option one..so I am hoping Bros, Monsterz1975 can give me some advise when his project completed. |
