Stressed L25
I recently added a 5"+- juvenile L25 to my collection around a week ago
It was in healthy condition when I got it with very nice colouration, but since i introduced it to my tank, it has been losing its colouration gradually. What could be the reasons for it? Stress? Information that could help. Biggest pleco in the tank(juvenile tank) Definitely no problems with filtration pH 6.8-7 Temperature 28 degrees Have not seen it come out for food when i feed the tank. Currently just hides in the same position the whole day Can the gurus pls help? What are the possible reasons for his behavior and how do I reduce its stress and get his colouration back? |

I have pseuda's but they don't turn dark due to stress. I can only conclude that they are trying to blend into the new environment for safety. |

Yes my L25 has been turning lighter in colour, especially the fins. From red tail and dorsal become red at the tips of the lye tail and dorsal with the rest being orange or even yellow.

Previous tank I believe was clear tank wif IOS. Can't remember the base colour. Seems dark to me but I dk whether is it rlly black or just cause I'm viewing at an angle thus got reflection.
My current tank is black paper at the back and 3 clear sides. Base is white(styrofoam) |
