Default IQ5 Planted Tank

Sharing my IQ5 plant tank meant for my office. It is currently at home waiting for the plants to take root. Plan to keep a few shrimps when system is cycled and stable.

Thanks. Yep, the tube is a distraction, my move it to the back and hide it behind the overdrain filter.

Watt per gallon, a gauge of the amount of light required for plants. Cant remb whats the amt of light required for glosso, i think its 3wpg. This will ensure healthy growth of plants.

U can use black tube and hide it at a corner, if u hide at filter site, it may concentrate co2 at ur filter and kill the BBs. And when it gets pumped out, the outlet is so near to the top of tank, CO2 will not stay long as compared to placing it at the bottom of the tank.

Just my suggestions. Its a nice tank! Hope it can be maintained well.

Thanks for the advice. Will try to get a smaller diffuser and also black tubing.

I have a few questions that need advice:

1. Is there a good liquid fertilizer to recommend (preferably a sort of all-in-one) as this is an office tank.

2. Any way to expedite the glosso to take root on the soil so that the pebbles can be removed?

3. my pH is around 5.5 probably due to the soil, do I need to raise the pH to around 6.5?

That is Hemianthus callitrichoides not Glossostigma elatinoides.

Forget about watt per Gallon, IQ5 is too small, WPG does not apply.

What soild do use use? pH, normally will go up by itself once the cycle is complete (assuming using ADA soil not sure about other soil)
