hi
( the only pic in my gallery ) just bought this pair today, the boss of the LFS told me that it's ......ribbon?? , can help me ID this guppy?? the female cost me $2 and the male $5 ( noticed the female's mouth seems swollen) any comment on the pair?? thanks Jason |

That is a German Yellow ribbon.. it is okay with the females... though, it will not give you fries unless your female were hit by another male in the LFS.. males with ribbon will not give you any fries with any female...

sorry for my ignorance , why can't the male ribbon give fries??
the LFS i got from has this white tail german ....?? they only have male , he told me the distributor do not want to supply him the female... can i get that male to go with my female ribbon , whats the outcome going to be like thanks!!! Jason |

Heh heh....off topic, but is that a string of shit i see?
I think you have been overfeeding your fish. Don't do that, it's not really good for the digestive system and the fish doesn't get any more nutrients as the digestive bacteria can only handle that much. The nutrient rich poo only fouls the water quicker. |

hello! The strain which you have is blue tail tuxedo. This strain will throw out both blue and red. If your female is prehit, the frys will most probably have 2 colors. Next time, get a short male instead of a ribbon male as its sterile. Always be save than sorry.

so what should i do with the male? will it breed with a reg female??
why are male ribbons sterile? , i still do see pair out there of both ribbon can i use the ribbon female with another male of another strain is that outcrossing? thanks very very very confused... Jason |

look at No. 10 in the pic...
short right for the Gonopodium but ribbon's are long just like what u show in ur pic which makes them impotent..... so cannot breed who u got the pair from? if the female is not prehit... then u got cheated |
