Albino is albino. leucistic is not albino, not a lower grade or what. Different gene mutations, like melanism etc. , just that albinos happen to look similar to leucistics.
An albino parent can't produce leucism unless it carried the leucistic genes as well, but what are the chances from the small original batch of albino silvers? So if the parent batch of albino silvers were albino only, quite impossible that the majority of offsprings in the market now be leucistic or anything else ma. Maybe variants of albinos, but nevertheless still albinos I think. Grading wise.. Hahaha. To each his own and it's always marketing tactics coupled with supply and demand - that's business. Haha. Just my two cents only. Agree or disagree I happy to learn Last edited by qwertivity; 24-04-2014 at 03:50 AM. |

Cmiiw.
True albino the adult should be golden yellow body. Some breeding stock we see their pond videos have silver bodies, that's why I didn't buy their albinoes. Since we can't see their eyes to confirm pink I surmised that top view can't be foolproof but the best we can do. When I saw this Farm adults, I was sure of my purchase. All golden yellow except one platinum piece in there.
