Default Ranchu breeding

Hi guys, After the all Thailand ranchu show which got me interested in ranchu more. but seeing how difficult to get my hand on top quality TVR I have decided to go in to SVR. During my journey in SVR, along the way I got fond of breeding. So I used some of my quality pc which imported directly from famous farm in Thailand to start this little experiment. For the first few batches I failed, reason such as not enough methylene blue leading to eggs got fungus, air bubble to strong leading to eggs burst ....etc...finally after a few try's I succeeded. I also seek some help from chong99 and his post. So I would also like to share with u my experience....... So here it goes:

first day 1/7/2016
After a day, the infertile eggs will appear white and the fertile will go clear and be hard to see. The infertile eggs will get fungus on them after about two days. So best to Add some Methylene Blue

After about 3 days you should start to see eyes of the fry appearing. Two days later the fry start to break out of their egg shells.

The fry jerk in the water as they move about the aquarium, but can’t keep it up for long. They spend most of their time resting on the bottom or hanging tail down on the sides of the aquarium.

Make sure the water surface is clean because as the fry hatch, they make their way to the surface to take a gulp of air

In two or three days the fry will start to become free swimming
that's went u need to start feeding them.

At this point I feed 6 times a day but small portion of BBS

this is the period they start to eat a lot.I have to hatch BBS daily. I used the 1.5L bottle to hatch which only enough for 6 feeding.

After 1 week u the fries start to develop the curve on the back, the wide tail fins. this period also water start to get bad from their waste. changing 20-40% daily by using aged water and dripping method. As u can see from the next picture I have a pail on top of the tank dripping water in overnight.

Now u can see those potential once. some people will start to cull them now. but I personally will wait a little longer for some late bloomers.
